Vacancy – Employment Skills Coach

Fixed Term Contract until 31 October 2021

Salary                £25,000 per annum

Hours                Fulltime – 36 hours per week

We will consider secondments from other organisations for this post.

This role is to work with the tenants of Solihull Community Housing and support them into paid employment and volunteering opportunities. This also includes advice and guidance around benefits, debt and where appropriate support on literacy and numeracy skills and the completion of a WEMWeb Survey.

The Employment Skills Coach will contribute to the overall success of the project. The successful candidate will work directly with unemployed and economically inactive participants by effectively delivering a holistic, personalised support service, which empowers participants with the self-belief, skills, motivation, and confidence to enable them to progress into employment, further training, or volunteering. You will facilitate a range of Employability and Personal Development Interventions, via 1:1 and group-based learning and development sessions. You will evaluate and measure their progress and impart guidance, knowledge, and mentoring, playing a pivotal role in helping individuals to overcome their fears and barriers and to develop their employability skills. You will be responsible for ensuring outputs and the final outcomes of the project are achieved.
